a) What do you understand about Gate?
Answer :
A gate is logical circuit diagram which accepts one or more than one input signal and produces one output signal.
Their are many types of logical gates. Some of them are –
- AND Gate
- OR Gate
- NOT Gate
- NAND Gate
- NOR Gate
- XOR Gate
- XNOR Gate
b) Prove using truth table. X.(Y + Z) = X.Y + X.Z

d) What is proposition?
Answer :
Proposition is an atomic statement which may either true or false.
Example : a=”Sky is clear”
here ‘a’ is proposition because result of a will only be “True” or “False” ( ie: 0 or 1 )
e) Which gates are called Universal gates and why?
Answer :
NAND and NOR Gates are called Universal Gates because one can create all other gates using these two Gates only.
